Ameya Ichthammol Ointment (40g) is a traditional topical preparation containing ichthammol (ammonium bituminosulphonate), a dark, sulphur-rich substance derived from shale oil. Ichthammol has well-established antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and drawing properties, making it effective for treating localised skin infections, boils, carbuncles, and inflammatory skin conditions.

The ointment works by drawing out infection and reducing inflammation, helping to bring boils and abscesses to a head for natural drainage. It also provides antiseptic action to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
