Alfacort Ointment Tube, 15g

Alfacort Hydrocortisone 1% Ointment (15g) is a topical corticosteroid in an ointment base, providing effective relief from inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions. The ointment formulation is more occlusive than a cream, making it particularly suited for dry, thickened, or scaly skin conditions where deeper penetration and moisturisation are beneficial. Contains 1% hydrocortisone — a mild corticosteroid that reduces redness, itching, and swelling.

Active Ingredient: Hydrocortisone 1% w/w

Indications: Dry or thickened eczema and dermatitis, contact dermatitis and allergic skin reactions, dry scaly psoriasis plaques (non-facial), insect bite reactions, prickly heat and heat rash, other dry inflammatory skin conditions responsive to corticosteroids

Directions for Use: Apply a thin layer to the affected area 1–2 times daily. Gently rub in until absorbed. Do not use on the face, groin, or underarms unless directed by a doctor. Do not use under occlusive dressings unless advised. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands after application. Do not use for more than 7 days without medical advice. Keep out of reach of children.
